what can i do for  external hemorrhoid at home . it's painful. i try to push it back in but that doesn't work . not bleeding . ?

May be thrombosed: A thrombosed hemorrhoid occurs when the blood vessel within the hemorrhoid becomes clotted.  It then becomes swollen and painful.  The natural history is that the blood clot will eventually dissolve, but it will often takes 2 wks or more.  Sitting in a tub of warm water may help with pain, as sell as Proctofoam.  But I see a lot of pts who have tried these without relief and they request operation

i have done bleeding two weeks later after hemorrhoid band ligation? is this possible? does it mean the procedure didn't work or has to be repeated? could there be more that need to be banded?

Ligation: Yes I would suspect you should have stopped bleeding by now

: Your question answers itself- of course you need to see a MD. It may or may not be a hemorrhoid that is bleeding. The bleeding , if it continues, can lead to low blood levels. (anemia) See a MD soon.

Re-evaluation: peraiatent pain and bleeding of hemorrhoids needs re-evaluation.  Be sure that you are getting enough fiber, drinking enough water and avoid straining

Hemorrhoid RX: If your hemorrhoids aren't bleeding or painful they can be observed. If they become more bothersome they can be removed by a variety of simple surgical methods.

Possibly: Since you have not had any recurrent symptoms for the past 3 years, then likely that is diagnosis. If the bleeding recurs again, however, i would consider a full colonoscopy.

do you really need to treat internal hemorrhoid  with canasa if you don't have bleeding or symptoms. just small anal fissure.?

Anal fissure: Your anal fissure will need to be treated.  The internal hemorrhoids are not bleeding so you can observe them.  Life style is your choice.  Most patients feel better after treatment.  Talk to your surgeon you may continue to watch and see if you get better on your own.  Hope it helps.

Problem: It is great that there was not cancer or other items.
There are local treatments for the hemorrhoid s to shrink, but some do need surgery and you may be one of those.

Bleeding...: There are certain symptoms - or complaints - that all physicians should regard as 'alarm' symptoms, i.e. They are of concern. Bleeding is definitely one of these. Please see your md asap.

Yes - hemorrhoids can bleed for days but you should get a firm diagnosis and appropriate therapy if they are the source.
