Complicated: The first question is where this came from and why?  Spontaneous hematomas are a little worrisome.  Once they are there it may take a lengthy timefor      the body to resorb this, and in some individuals they may be left with permanent discoloration of the skin at that site, since absorbing all the pigment may not occur.

No: No Vitamin deficiency does not cause muscle or tendon tenderness after blood test. It is not uncommon to have pain and soreness around the site of blood draw. In rare instances you can get more extensive pain and swelling. Usually icing the area and pain meds or anti-inflammatories are sufficient to treat it.

Easy bruising: You are on Prednisone which causes easy bruising. You take it for copd. May be your doctor can taper & cut down altogether.  You may also want to do lab tests like platelets count, pt, aptt, bleeding time, clotting time. Some clotting factors deficiency depending on your family history. Your doctor can do all that. If you need specialist then it would be hematologist. Thanks.

i got a tb/ppd test on monday, and got my test read on wednesday, but the results were negative and didn't see a sign of a reaction that day. that thursday, i saw that i had what look like a bruise. is there any way that it was a mistake, and i actua?

About PPD tests: A PPD skin test reaction is read between 48 and 72 hours after administration. The reaction should be measured in millimeters. The part that is measured is the induration (palpable, raised, firm area or swelling). If there is no raised skin that one can FEEL without looking at it, then there is nothing to measure (the result gets written as 0 mm). Each patient's situational details also matter.

Need to exclude : Cancer.  Any pigmented skin lesion that has changed in size, or color needs to be investigated to exclude melanoma.  Consult your doctor to see if the lesions needs to be excised and submitted to a pathologist for examination.
