i had a ct that revealed endometriosis in my c section scar; desmoid tumor, hematoma, neoplasm, and sequelae of subcut. injection. i have irregular, very heavy periods and pain (even when i'm not on my period). what's the next step and after?

i have had a large bruise on my thigh for almost 9 months that wont go away and its tender when you touch it.  it happened after i had an injection post-c-section operation.  is this normal?  what should i do?

: It is not normal, need to see a doctor in person for evaluation and management, for possible bleeding disorder or benign lesions etc

i'm almost 6wks pp from a c-section & above the incision is red and swollen but not painful. feels tender like a bruise. is it an infection?

Couldn't say: This is definitely something you should see your ob/gyn doctor for, he/she can tell wether an infection is present or if it is part of the healing process. If not happy with their answer, or keeps getting worse, seek a plastic surgeon.

post pardum c-section, foot hurts on top, feels like a bruise when you touch it, should i be worried that it might be a blood clot?

Could be: It certainly could be.  However usually it would be associated with swelling.  Luckily too, its usually clots in the calf and up higher to the pelvis and lungs we worry more about.  Try some heat or ice and see if it relieves your pain first and if not notify your OB to see if he/she recommends a doppler of the foot.

hi!  i had a baby on 12 june 2020 via c-section.  i was given some anti-inflammatory injections in my right thigh near the hip.  there is a large bruise that has not gone away in all this time and is sensitive when i prod it, is this normal?thanks

: No, it's not normal,  but it can be explained. Likely the shot caused some fat necrosis (dying) in the area and left some scarring in the tissue and discoloration of the skin that chronically looks like a bruise. These areas can be very tender when you push on them. You may talk to a pain specialist if it's really uncomfortable, otherwise just leave it alone knowing it will likely never go away...

can i refuse a c-section?

Yes: You have unlimited negative right (ie the right to refuse any treatment.)

if you are feeling the need to refuse a cesarean, make sure you understand why someone is recommending one.  You may be refusing something that would be in your or your infants best interest.

Many things can be done to reduce the likelihood of needing a cesarean, but some cesareans will be necessary despite all measures.

Yes: As long as you understands all the risks associated with a cs and your ob/gyn is willing to perform it, you can ask for it and most physicians will comply.

Accepted Answer

Yes: You can ask, but if your exam shows your pelvis to be adequate for vaginal delivery, your provider should kindly refuse your request. The risk to both you and baby are increased in c-section, and they should be reserved for medical reasons only.

Accepted Answer

The same as food: After any surgery.  Start with fluids then advance as tolerated to soft foods then a regular diet. No other special dietary instructions need.

Ask your OB: Any answer to this question here on health tap will be pure speculation. We do not know what types of incisions your c-sections have been, what the healing is like, nor do we know what your OB recommended (i believe most would have recommended no more pregnancies!). This is a question to ask the doctor caring for you in person.
