Plantar fasciitis: She likely has a condition called plantar fasciitis which is a condition where there is inflammation of the Achilles tendon as it connects to the heel bone. It is very common. Unfortunately it can take a while to resolve. Best is to see a podiatrist. In the mean time some stretching of that area can help.

Plantar fasciitis : The most likely diagnosis is planter fasciitis. This is inflammation of your large ligament that inserts into your heel bone. You should get this evaluated by podiatrist. In the meantime you can do calf stretching, massage the ligament with a frozen water bottle or something similar. Anti-inflammatory medication will help as well if you can take it.

Plantar Fasciitis: I would suggest stretching exercises with a belt, towel or resistance band around the ball of your foot pulling towards yourself. Also, rolling your foot over a frozen water bottle for 10 minutes helps (with socks on)

Combo treatment. : If you have plantar fasciitis, and hurt most with the first few steps in the morning, the more you can do together, the better: #1: supportive shoes. #2: firm inserts or orthotics. #3: oral antiinflammatories (check with your doctor). #4: stretching your foot and calf. #5: icing (10 min at a time). You may also need physical therapy or cortisone injections, or eswt if available in your area.

Plantar fasciitis?: are you a runner? sounds like plantar fasciitis. Does it feel like there is randomly a knife in the heel? you should try ice, lots of stretching of the achilles tendon, and gentle massage of the bottom of the foot while using a little bit of lotion. use alive or motrin over the counter. there is no benefit to prednison injection.
