i have common cold symptoms and a fever, but my heart rate got now to 120 at rest is it normal? i took a quarter of propranolol if it doesnt get better can i take another quarter?

: If I knew why you are taking propranolol I could answer better. If you are playing Dr stop.  One response to fever is to increase heart rate which is likely a healthy response and slowing this normal response may be harmful.  I would wait as most colds get better in 14 days but some take 2 weeks.   ;-) Dr humor.

Should not: If by common cold you refer to rhinovirus infection, primary signs and symptoms should not include those of a severe upper or lower respiratory infection, but can under some circumstances. This should be investigated with a chest x-ray and full examination if encountered clinically

Possibly: Any time your body is under stress, including when you are sick, your vital signs can be affected, including your blood pressure and heart rate. But don't ignore these, either. When you're feeling better, make sure to have them rechecked to see they return to normal. If not, then you need to consider other causes.  If your blood pressure is dangerously high, seek cause sooner rather than later!

started zoloft 50mg 3 days ago. since then, i've been getting weird cold feelings in my legs and feet. also when i try to sleep, i feel like i'm sinking and get cold and my heart rate increases. is this common with zoloft?

: Starting a medication like Zoloft that helps to correct neurotransmitters can have mild side effects while your body gets accustomed to the medication. Allow at least 2-3 weeks for the mild side effects to settle, and 4-6 weeks for the med to have an effect on the neurotransmitters.

Dehydration  from : Stress of any type increases heart rate illness is on the stress list also fevers diarrhea  vomiting cause dehydration low blood volume pump needs to speeds up to compensate.

Depends: Metoprolol is a type of medication called a beta-blocker; these medications block adrenaline so part of what they do is slow your heart rate.  If your hr is abnormally low, your dose might need to be adjusted.  Now, if the reason you are on the medication was an abnormal hr to begin with and it is still present you might need an increase of the med.  Consult with your doctor.

Some concern: If your rate is fast but regular, it may be due to some dehydration, which may be due to having a cold and not ingesting enough food and liquid. If it's fast and irregular, that needs to be sorted out, and soon. You may have atrial fib or some other abnormal rhythm. If this persists, or is irregular, you need to notify your doctor, especially if you have other symptoms such as dizziness or pain.
