Stress!: Stress can yield palpitations. These usually consist of extra beats called PVCs or PACs, annoying but innocuous arrhythmias. They feel like skipping or flip-flop sensations, last merely seconds although can string along for minutes at a time, and can give the impression of temporary breathlessness.

GERD: GERD is a known cause of bronchospasm/asthma and causes cough and shortness of breath in susceptible people. The association with palpitations is weak. I suspect you either have coincidental palpitations or another cause which isn't evident from this brief encounter.

Go see your DR and: Get checked for thyroid/ heart condition, viral illness,  autoimmune condition, asthma, bronchitis , emphysema, stress, anxiety etc. Treatment is geared toward the cause of the problem. Take care!

Hard to say: You should ask the doc who ordered the Holter monitor this question. Normal people occasionally have ectopic beats. Whether or not your study would exclude such activities is best determined by someone who assessed you and the study.

: Yes, ekg’s can definitely miss arrhythmias and different ways of monitoring are employed in case significant arrhythmias are still suspected.
