Unrelated: These symptoms are unrelated. It is not uncommon to feel or hear the pulse in the ear, but if it is a very noticeable feeling, it's prudent to have your blood pressure checked to make sure it's not elevated. Your arm symptom is nonspecific but could be due to an inflamed tendon in the elbow. If you can take them,nsaids like Advil or Aleve (naproxen) may help. Otherwise see your physician for evaluation.

See your doctor: This could be anxiety, poor physical conditioning, or something more serious.  The only way to be sure is to see your doctor so your heart  (and the rest of you) can be evaluated.

Heart pounds/stairs: When you climb stairs it is a physical activity so it will make the heart work harder,especially if you are deconditioned/overweight . How long has this  been going on ? You might consider an EKG and or echocardiogram to make sure the is no subtle structural variation,  f/u/w/ doc

Call cardiologist: The medications you take are both for very similar purposes. The provider may need to modify the doses or change in some way. Together it is possible to lower BP too much for certain activities - i.e., climbing stairs. Call ASAP - hearts are important and we only have one. I don't think this relates to your quitting methadone - but ask while you are there. I hope becoming freer of drugs feels good

Lastly, deconditioning could cause this, meaning someone who is not physically fit could experience increased heart rate which in turn could be interpreted as a throbbing head.

Talk to your dr: Hearing your own heartbeat could be a sign of high blood pressure, you should have this checked.  It is also possible that you have an ear infection or blocked ear canal.  This symptom needs to be looked into.

sometimes hear ringing heartbeat in ears lying down at night. not present at other times, when standing in quiet room hear mild tinnitus but doesnt pulsate. google has scared me. is pulsatile tinnitus only lying down, not every night, a concern?

: While pulsatile tinnitus is also usually benign, it can be associated with potentially serious blood vessels abnormalities within the brain. For this reason I recommend that you consult an ENT specialist for advice.
