when i have headaches i tend to always smell blood. like this morning i woke up out of my sleep because i smelt blood. i found no blood. what is it?

Aura: What you describe is an aura. An aura is a scent, a feeling, or an activity of the body that warns you you are about to have a migraine headache. This allows you to take medication to abort the migraine before it can cause you a lot of pain, nausea and discomfort. You should see your doctor to see what medication to take to stop your headache  when your aura occurs. This is not something to fear .

the left half of my nose has felt blocked for a while now and every so often i can smell this sort of blood smell. i get bad headaches. should i worry?

: If these symptoms followed a head cold from a week or so ago, they could be from a sinus infection at this time. Keep the sinuses draining with gentle nasal irritations using very clean warm salt water or ocean nasal spray. Steam inhalation can also be used. Tylenol for headache relief. If symptoms persist or worsen, appropriate oral antibiotics are prescribed.

im constantly either spitting or swallowing saliva. i also have been suffering from a constant headache. im struggling to keep food down. also smells can throw me off. ive had a blood test done which indicated vertigo and tummy bug.

It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. In addition, Aleve (naproxen) and Ibuprofen (NSAIDS) can cause salt retention, stomach ulcers and kidney damage.  See a doctor for a thorough history and physical exam.

No: Blood is a good medium for bacteria to grow and the normal bacteria in and around the vagina is what causes the odor.Change pad and tampon(tampons may cause a serious bacteria infection)  often,every 2 hours for heavy flow. Wear cotton panties and unscented pads. Shower twice daily and trim the hair around the vagina
