No: Blood is a good medium for bacteria to grow and the normal bacteria in and around the vagina is what causes the odor.Change pad and tampon(tampons may cause a serious bacteria infection) often,every 2 hours for heavy flow. Wear cotton panties and unscented pads. Shower twice daily and trim the hair around the vagina
