Probably migraine: Frequently brain freeze occurs in migraine patients, and sometimes the migraines themselves give this feeling. If you have been getting headaches for a while, this is almost certainly the cause, particularly if otherwise normal. You may have some medication overuse/rebound headache as well from taking many otc pain meds. A headache neurologist should be able to help you with the appropriate meds.

why do i feeel like a headache when doing cobra?

Better alignment!: Cobra is one of the postures in yoga that was thought to be dangerous due to compressing the back of the neck and cutting off blood flow to the brain, causing a stroke. This was apparently similar to folks getting their hair washed at the hair salons placing their head back against the sink. Go slower and extend/stretch the spine more gently. If it persists-stop. May need to see your doc.

Various causes: Headaches could be a rather simple annoyance or very complicated.  There are many factors causing headaches.  Also, a headache could be a sign of another disease process or be the disease itself.  Some examples include simple tensions headaches, vascular headaches (e.g. Migraine), tumor related headaches, spine related headaches, etc.  A qualified physician needs to assess this properly.

Many possibilities: Most people get a headache at some time, such as from colds, infections, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Over-the-counter options include Tylenol (acetaminophen), Motrin or Advil, Aleve, Excedrin Migraine, and their generic brands. A bad or increasing headache, recurrent headache, weird headache or with other worrisome symptoms should be checked.

Severe headache: A severe headache can have many forms.  It can be one that drops you to your knees, it can be one that causes you to cry, or it can be one that interferes with activities, like bathing, sleeping, eating, etc.  Each person has their own definition.  It can feel like pulsating, throbbing, sharp stabbing, pressure, etc.

Tears: Autonomic features can occur with some types of headaches and include flushing face, tear production, red eyes, ringing in ears, droopy eyelids, trouble swallowing.  See your doctor as the autonomic features can help you get the correct headache diagnosis and treatment.  Hope this helps!

Many eat too much: Regardless of eating, most people get a headache at some time, such as from colds, infections, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... OTC treatments include Tylenol, Motrin, Aleve, Excedrin and their generic brands. A bad or increasing headache, recurrent headache (as in this case), weird headache, or one with other worrisome symptoms should be checked.

Nausea with migraine: Nausea often accompanies headache. Many times this is a direct response to pain but in certain circumstances it could be something more serious.

Accepted Answer

Daylight savings: may cause transient temporal distortion, but by itself is not the cause of headaches.   Stress related to the time change may...   Some folks like the change this time of year because they can sleep in an hour later, even if it means it gets darker sooner at the end of the day.   Others like the switch in April because they have more light later, even if they lose an hour.   To each their own.

Severe headache.: If this is the worst headache you have ever experienced (&amp; it feels like your skull is cracking) medical assessment would be prudent.
