Back pain, headache: Ok to take panadol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen to help you get comfortable from the back pain, headache and bring down your temperature. As long as you are not having severe back pain, the worst headache of your life, or an uncontrollably high fever, you do not need to go to your closest emergency room.

Talk to your Dr.: Did you have a test that showed a high level of serotonin or 5-hiaa in the urine? This type of condition doen't generally cause headaches but rather flushing, heart palpatations, low blood pressure, diarrhea, shortness of breath or wheezing and abdominal pain. You need to pin him down on why he thinks that is your problem.This condition doesn't generally cause headaches.

4.  What makes them better?
5.  Do they have any relationships to food, sleep, caffeine or lack of, etc.?
These are all clinical history questions pertinent to this query.

Chronic Sinusitis: If you've tried an appropriate antibiotic regimen (usually 4 wks on amoxicillin) with antihistamine and no relief, you have have an impaction,  A CT scan will reveal this, and a referral to an ENT Dr would be the next step.  Note: sometimes hydration as in netti pot or saline nasal spray can help to open up sinuses.

If headaches are persistant, worsening, or are associated with any other symptoms, if would be a good idea to check in with her ob. Stay well hydrated (normal fluid intake) and eat a normal diet with a balance of nutrition as well.
