•	Drinking alcohol may cause dehydration

Thick saliva odor: Thick saliva with a bad odor can mean many things. It could be a dental abscess, periodontal disease, sinus infection and maye even digestive issues. I suggest you see a dentist and an MD to evaluate your condition.

See dentist: There will be an increase in the amount of salavia produced with a new denture.  You may have more drooling than ususual and it can take some time to learn to speak properly again.  Be patient and keep trying to wear the denture.  It is not easy for some people to  get used to a denture.  That being said please call your dentist about your problems and schedule an appointment for adjustment.

Type 2 Diabetes: What kind of diet are you on?  Ask your doctor about a ketogenic food plan (which is low carb).  How is your exercise level and how much rest do you get?  This can be reversed but it takes work.  Challenge at first then easier.  Peace and good health.

Not Normal: This should have been addressed a long time ago. Without knowing anything at all about you, not even your age, your best bet is to be examined by a local physician to determine the cause and possible treatment.

I saw your other: entry about embarrassment due to too much saliva &amp; fear of spitting on others. Sialorrhea or hypersalivation has a number of possible causes. I recommend that this be medically evaluated to determine and correct the underlying cause. Take care.

Saliva: Could be the cold, possibly bronchitis or if it occurs even when youre not sick may be a sign of acid reflux.
