Probably ok: While this is probably ok, and just an awareness of your body, it could represent something else. Any time a pulsatile sensation is associated with a large mass, we are concerned about an aneurysm. Best to see your primary care for an exam and a more complete evaluation. Hope this helps!

Yes, it is normal: You are seeing the normal pulsation of your aorta. It is visible because you  are slim enough for the pulsations to be visible.

Possible arrhythmia: A rapid heart beat with abdominal pulsations (particularly noticeable in a thin person) might signify a tachycardia type arrhythmia (either svt or VT in origin). If large fluctuations in neck veins are seen it could favor VT as te cause given the av dissociation that would typically occur (atria contracting against a closed av valve producing cannon "a" waves. Patient activated monitoring helpful.

Irritated nerve: The only thing I can think of would be an irritated superficial nerve in the skin.  If it's a small area and doesn't happen too often I wouldn't be alarmed.  If the area of numbness spreads then I would see a doctor

RUQ anatomy: Anatomically, the right upper quadrant (RUQ) of the abdomen includes: liver, gallbladder, pancreatic head, bile ducts and ampulla, c-loop of the duodenum, stomach antrum and pylorus, the hepatic flexure of the colon.  Don't forget the diaphragm &amp; lower chest are pretty close by. The abdominal musculature, ribs, &amp; skin can all contribute as well to localizing RUQ pain. Lots to consider here.

i noticed my abdomen is pulsating like whole abd. i look at it while i'm holding my breath and i'm always acidic. but when i touch it i feel no pulse?

Aortic pulse: Most likely you are seeing the the pulse in your aorta (large artery running along your spine). It pulses with each heart beat.  In thin people, can see it pulse through through the whole abdomen.  If you cannot feel it,, that is a good thing.  So not to worry.  Normal.  Hope this helps.  Dr R

Left upper: Left upper abdominal discomfort can be caused by gas trapped in the colon or colon inflammation, by spleen pathology, by inflammation of part of the stomach or pancreas. Pulsation sensation may be from the aorta, the largest artery in the body. An examination by a physician is strongly recommended if symptoms persist.

Some possibilities..: If one has very uncomfortable tummy pain, and is normally in good health, plus is not pregnant, the possibilities include: appendicitis (usually R lower abdomen), diverticulitis, kidney stone (very painful), constipation (crampy), stomach flu, etc... Most people with "moderate pain," more than mild pain, may need a doctor's evaluation to be sure it's not appendicitis, which usually needs surgery.

Not an aneurysm: This is not the area that one would experience pin with and aneurysm and you are much too young to worry about one. Things that might present with pain in this area at your age include a hernia,appendicitis or ovarian pain such as pain experienced with ovulation at mid cycle
