Accepted Answer

Doubt this: "Leaky gut" may exist but has not gound widespread acceptance by mainstream medicine despite two decades of being a "pop" diagnosis. Shortness of breath is very serious and deserves a real work up.

after eating salty foods like chips or popcorn my lips,  tongue and throat swell up. sometimes hard to breath. what could i be allergic to? is it bad?

It May be Serious: You need to stop eating these foods and see an allergist for an evaluation. You may be very allergic to something, either the food itself or possibly a preservative. Any time you have swelling and difficulty breathing it could be very serious and if an allergy could lead to a potentially fatal reaction. You should have Benadryl (diphenhydramine) with you at all times and take it right away if you get swelling.

what causes heated sensation going through your intestines when you have bowel movement, makes it hard to breath, and five min after eating have a liq?

Accepted Answer

Motility: Your likely feeling the sensation of peristalsis......The slow contraction of your bowels.  It is what moves things through but if you are feeling it often you may be having hypermotility or excessively strong contractions.  This would lend itself to the diagnosis of ibs or irritable bowel syndrome.  Multiple meds for this.  Talk to doctor time:).

Yes, : Yes, this is a potentially serious situation as it can lead to obstructed breathing and significant infections.  The fact that you are having difficulty breathing warrants a visit to an emergency department to rule out airway obstruction.

Reflux: You may have reflux disorder which often causes couging in relation to meals. Try taking over the counter zantac (ranitidine) 150 mg before breakfast and dinner for a week. If that does not help, see your doctor.

No need to worry: you are young (assuming no medical issues)
minimal blood with stool (especially after hard stool) could happen. unless it happens more frequently there is no need to worry about it

Not related: The hand and ear symptoms are not related to the cough and breathing. Start with the cough after eating and ask your primary care doc (pediatrician, family doc, etc). You may have gastroesophageal reflux. That would also cause breathing problems. Difficulty breathing could also be asthma, anxiety, etc. Start with one thing at a time, the most important one first.

pain pressure bloating in back ribs/sides/flank area. worse after eating or in a.m. makes it hard to breath when sitting. pain in epigastric abdomen area. nausea. also a stabbing feeling the moves around different parts of the back area?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. Not likely: if no lung issues, breathing should not be affected much in the long  run.

Check X-ray to be sure no fluid or pneumothorax??
