Likely not related: Scalp patches likely not related. After sinus infection ex. Or sore throat (viral, bacterial) lymph nodes may grow. If they persist after a few weeks consider evaluation for ex. Lymphoma.

i  seem to have a swollen lymph node(s) in my neck.  if i turn my head it aches.  if i swallow it hurts a little.  should i see my doctor?

Wait three weeks: This is probably a benign swollen lymph node from an infection perhaps a virus or skin infection it is less likely to be lymphoma or tumor. However if it persists for more than three weeks you should see your doctor.

i have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and one under left side of my chin my skin isn't red there not painfull they just sit there there not hard?

Have it evaluated: Lymph node enlargement is normally infections and may come from the skin or from a dental abscess.  With no obvious cause you should have it evaluated by your physician.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Alternate tylenol (acetaminophen) with advil every 4 hrs but if you have strep throat, you must be treated with antibiotics.

What did Dr say?: For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician &amp; get a strep throat test &amp; culture. Antibiotics are imperative for Strep Throat.  Try saltwater gargles. Mix tsp of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w this several times/day. You can gargle w Aloe Vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w honey &amp; a small amt of lemon juice helps.

been having pain off and on around my inguinal lymph node for about a week on my left side. it has been more constant yesterday into this morning and woke me out out of dead sleep. not swollen or red in that area in any way. what could this be?

: Is there a lymph node felt there? Is there possibility of STD? Are you constipated? It could be referred pain from the abdomen. If you have fever you may want to get evaluated by a physician. Try also to relieve constipation if possible before being concerned too much about it.

i have sensitive gums, red lumps on my palate and this morning i woke up with a swollen lymph node on my left side under my jaw. is it possibly something serious? or can it be treated at home?

Dental Issues: Rarely can dental issues be treated at home. From what you described you appear to have a low grade infection. Cause could be periodontal or endodontic in nature. Please see a dentist for proper care.

Go see yr Doctor: Any enlarged node, unless caused by a sore throat/infection, needs medical attention. Migraine is probably unrelated to the neck node, yet a medical exam and treatment is necessary and will help you control it and make you feel well if you take a triptan medication which can work wonders to control a migraine.

billions of lice in head , can cause rubbery hard swollen lymph node on right side of neck for more than one month?

Yes: Lice is a parasite infection.  As such, lymph node swelling is expected, especially with such a large infestation.  Get the lice treated and if the glands don't go down in 2 weeks, then see your internist.

i have an itchy scalp and a swollen lymph node on the left side of my head at the lower  skull line. can you please tell me what might be the cause?

Dermititiis: You could have eczema, seborrhea, atopic or other form of dandruff.  If you scratch it it will tind to worsen and flake as well as get infected.  That will cause the swollen lymph node.  
Start with a dandruff shampoo and stop scratching it.  See if it starts to resolve in a couple of weeks
