A possibility: It may indicate a neuropathy depending on where exactly on the hand and arm you note numbness. Carpal tunnel syndrome (a type of median neuropathy), ulnar neuropathy, or radial neuropathy may be present. Try to avoid pressure on the arm and hand while sleeping including awkward posturing. Keep it straight while asleep. If you note weakness or pain, please consult a neurologist. Hope that helps!

Call PCP for appt.: As a PCP, I feel as if I am better suited to treat this.  It is not clear to me that this is a breast issue and may be a waste of time to see the other doctor.  I would see the PCP, especially if you can get in sooner.  Good luck!

Wear a splint.: You are likely pinching a nerve in your arm somewhere along its course - often at the wrist although other courses are possible.  Try wearing a splint to hold your wrist in neutral position.

Carpal tunnel: If occurring exclusively at night, may still be carpal tunnel.  Compressive nerve syndromes get worst at rest, but so can degeneration of nerves, or neuropathy.  Need nerve conditions.

Carpal tunnel synd.: There a re many potential causes, but by far the most common is carpal tunnel syndrome (cts).  Cts is a compression of the median nerve at the wrist and many patients wake up with hand numbness.  Usually initial treatment is a night spilint.  If this does not work, surgery may be indicated. Most : Most likely carpal tunnel syndrome.  We have a tunnel in our wrist that a nerve and all the tendons go through.  Like loose joints and tight joints, some tunnels are tighter than others.  If you are born with a tight tunnel, later in life symptoms exactly like yours appear.

You could see if wrist splints that hold your wrists straight help you to sleep.  Eventually your doctor will need to check it.

Several: It might be many possibilities; most commonly Carppel Tunnel, poor position, etc... however we need to identify numb, some refer to it as fire or ants crawling, some as weakness. You need to speak with your MD and might require neurological referral.
