Anger: One mechanism would be  when you get angry this raises your Adrenalin. This is a vasoconstriction and can contribute to tingling. The Adrenalin activates your muscles. too.

Sympathetic reaction: Yes, it can be. This is classic sympathetic reaction with fight or flight response. There is sudden release and surge of adrenaline in the blood with spasms of blood vessels in feet and hand which makes them cold, hot face and temples pulsating which means the blood pressure was high too. Need to divert anger towards a peaceful resolution, and do regular exercises. If it persists, see a doctor.

The symptoms usually only involve the thumb and next 2 fingers, maybe part of the 4th, but not the 5th. Other cause is pressure on a nerve in  neck, can affect all 5.

If you sleep on your back, a cervical spine / disc problem would do it, pinching at the nerve root. Carpal tunnel is s possibility , too. I'm sure there are others. See your md for a referral, if needed.
