how to distinguish tremor caused by anxiety vs tremor caused by other problem? tremor present whether or not im anxious, but worse with anxiety. its in my hands, when i hold them out in front of me and when i try to do certain fine motor tasks?

Common: Tremors can occur in many people. If you can abate it by concentration or distraction it is not a symptom of severe central nervous system disease.

Headaches are : On a continuum not nessesarily discrete events. After a car accident it is possible to have severe musculoskeletal driven headaches which can trigger and or progress to the vasospastic events known generally as migraines. If unsure get a second opinion. A neurologist who specializes in migraines or the like.

i have very minor twitching at base of left thumb (when i move the thumb closer to my index finger, it trembles a little).  i jammed said thumb 2+ years ago.  i'm right handed. could that have caused this twitching?  i have no known health issues.

It is possible that the trauma induced arthritis in the joint and that may be causing your symptoms. You may watch and wait, if the tremor worsens, or other muscles exhibit fasciculations, it would be prudent to see a neurologist.

Tremble: Your 5th digit is least controlled from a muscle and tendon stand point.  Possible you have done this for awhile and not noticed.  However, if you feel that it is significant get checked.  I would consider electrolye, calcium, magnesium imbalance possible.  Also, thyroid should probably be checked.  Other symptoms like fatigue, heat intollernance, skin changes?

Well: The beta blockers can help with benign tremors but really you should work on coping skills and be comfortable to talk to your doctor about anything. Being dependent on a medication does not treat or solve your issues
