Angioedema: There can be many reasons for the swelling you describe ranging from an allergic reaction to food or medicine; it may be due to an autoimmune release of histamine; or it may be due to an inflammatory mediator called bradykinin.  It's important to know the underlying cause as it will change treatment.  How long has it been there? has it happened before? Do you have hives? Have you tried any meds?

Red bumps and finger: Swelling can mean a lot of things but a common problem on the elbow and extensor surface of the forearmm that can be associated woth sudden finger swelling or knuckle arthritis especially the distal joints near the finger tips is psorasis and psoriatic arthritis. Onset of rashes and joint swelling needs to be evaluated in person by a medical provider.

Need more info: A variety of things can cause hand swelling in an “old woman” and this probably warrants further evaulation by your physician.  Some common things are:  Arthritis, gout, trauma or injury, tendinitis, ganglion cysts, giant cell tumors.  As I said, this could likely be rapidly sorted out with a brief physical exam and an x-ray.

A 4 year old: Injury should not cause swelling of the upper arm.  You should look for another reason for the swelling.  Consult an orthopedic surgeon for opinion and possibly imaging studies.

Carpel tunnel: There are many reasons to have the symptoms you described, a common cause is carpel tunnel syndrome due to swelling of tissues at the wrist.  It is a treatable entity and should be excluded before considering other possibilities.  Your physician may do tests to validate the suspicion.

Yes: All 3 of these problems can cause your symptoms.  There are also many other reasons  for your problems.  The combination of RA and SLE together do happen but it is uncommon.  Make sure you see a rheumatologist to sort this out.

Swelling: If there is associated redness there would be concern for cellulitis which is a serious skin infection. An allergic reaction would be another possibility. A blockage in a vein is possible but the swelling would persist with that. Having your physician examine you would be best.
