recently going thru wrist and hand pain   not sure if it is using computer mouse a lot or hand arthiritis? what is the best treatment? it hurts in wrist joint while folding hand or lifting 
please advise treatment, any ointment or exercise?

: If there is no sign of inflammation (warm, red and swelling), inflammatory joint disease is less likely. You should stop or reduce the activity which exacerbates the pain or discomfort, take Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) 200 mg x 2 (OTC med) every 6-8 hours as needed for 1-3 days then resuming the activity at a slow pace.
You should see a doctor if there is sign of inflammation for a correct diagnosis

Yes .. YOU can!!!: Think flesh=muscles/tissue and not bone/ligament/disc/nerves with chronic pain! cts can be self cured with a self-care with a wellness program of vits, magnesium glycinate, sleep hygiene, exercise, self massage, chiropractor, yoga, heat, epsom tub soaking, and stretching.  In my practice, I use acupuncture and myofascial tissue release with trigger points w lidocaine.

You shouldn't: Hand pain in a hand containing an IV could indicate infiltration of the iv. It is a relative indication to remove the IV and restart elsewhere if it is needed.

Several options: Hand pain can come from an irritated nerve in your neck, shoulder, elbow, or wrist.  You could also have inflammation in the tendons or joints of the wrist or hand.

Left Hand Pain: Hello. Need more information. Are you left hand dominant?Any trauma involved? What activities aggravate your left hand pain? Does it stay in your hand or radiate into your wrist or forearm?  Might benefit from topical voltaren (diclofenac) gel or lidocaine gel. These would need to be prescribed.

Take breaks, and...: If keyboard is lower than desk surface, tilt the back edge of the keyboard slightly down. Keep wrists in a neutral (straight) position—not bent up or down. Keep elbows at a slightly open angle-90˚ or greater. Keep shoulders relaxed, and elbows at side. Don't use wrist rests or armrests while typing-only while resting. If you have a broad chest, consider a "split" keyboard.
