8-12 weeks: A calcareous fracture takes 8-12 weeks to heal.  Recovery from tendon injuries vary based upon the tendon involved and the severity of the injury.  I would discuss with your doctor who will be able to tell you more about your specific case.

Radiographs: The best (and least expensive) way to determine if you may have a fracture is a simple series of x-rays. If these are not conclusive your doctor may order a more advanced imaging modality (such as an MRI or ct) depending on what exactly your physician is looking for.

PT may be in order: Physical therapy can address the gait issue with limping as this is likely related to muscle weakness.In addtion they can do soft tissue massage to alleviate the ankle swelling. This can occur when muscles are weak and do not provide enough pumping action to return blood to the heart.Check in w/your Orthopedist or Sports MD to get a prescription &amp;/or agreement on next steps to get your gait normal

If the fracture is: not healed and you re-injure, recovery will be delayed and you risk permanent damage to the origninal fracture i=or injury elsewhere by guarding the original fracture placing added stress on other joints.  My advice is to sit this one out.  There will be other games.

Maybe: You possibly could or a ligamentous injury. I'd have it x-rayed if you continue to have pain.

Have it evaluated.: If you have numbness you should have it looked at as soon as possible as that may indicate nerve trauma.  You will need to have an x-ray or other radiologic exams taken to see if you have a fracture.  Fractures usually need to be immobilized with a splint, cast, or rigid walking boot depending on the location of the injury.    Have your physician determine which course of treatment is best for you.
