It happens often: It's related to the slight increase in your body temperature, which causes more of your hair to grow at a similar rate. About 3-4 months after pregnancy, some moms (and their babies) may lose hair. This usually returns to normal for you without treatment.

Hair, pregnancy: Hirsutism does not change during pregnancy or breast feeding largely because hair that has already grown in will not go away unless shaved/ plucked/ etc. Hair thinning is not so much affected by PCOS to begin with, but women sometimes have temporary alterations in head hair, particularly after delivery. Never completely saf: If there is even the most remote chance that an semen entered her vaginal vault, there is a potential for pregnancy.  There is no way to say she is 100% safe.  Get a pregnancy test at the appropriate time.

Test for preganancy: You can get an inexpensive urine strip test from your pharmacy that will tell you whether you may be pregnant.  Generally positive within 7-10 days of conception although you may have to test more than once.

Likely benign: Very likely this is a tension headache like you mentioned. Be sure to stretch your muscles weekly with exercises like yoga. Continue to stay well hydrated with water and clear fluids. Use tylenol (acetaminophen) as needed for pain. If it worsens or you cannot keep fluids down, see your doctor.

Lactation consultant: There may be a variety of reasons for the difficulty. You should discuss this with a lactation consultant. It is not clear why you could not continue for longer. Lack of production? Pumping may help.
