Other causes: Without a good history and physical, it is difficult to determine the diagnosis. Non-radiating chest pain has numerous causes. Heartburn caused by h pylori may be one, but there are more serious causes that must be ruled out. Costchrondritis may be one cause as well as a chronic dissecting aneurysm. Physicians utilize a differential diagnoses to ascertain the right diagnosis to guide the treatment.

Digestive problems: Well a gastroenterologist is an 'expert' in this field - so hopefully something can get worked out for you to have the full evaluation, which helps direct the best treatment. In the meantime, you could try various things for improvement. I'm a big fan of ginger. I recc ginger tea, ginger candies, anything with ginger. Take ginger root, boil for 10 min, add honey -see if that helps.  Feel better!

Have H. Pylori reckd: If you had a history of h. Pylori, and it wasn't treated fully, then you may still have problems with gastritis. However if it was treated fully, and you had a negative breath test, and you're still having pain still at night, then you need to call your doctor. So s/he can do a physical to investigate your complaint. Sometimes, eating too close to bedtime can cause heartburn too ; should be avoided.

h.pylori meas you have more stomach pain , but stomach pain spreading to the back and shoulder it might be your gallbladder , so more information are needed to be able to help

Inflammation: Inflammation of the esophagus and/or stomach lining may be present. In addition to moxal(an antacid) after meals and at bed time, try a strict bland diet and start Prilosec as well. Of course abstain from alcohol, caffeine and nicotine. A gastroenterologist consultation would be the next step if your symptoms persist.

Helicobacter pylori: H. Pylori by itself does not cause any pain. It can make it more likely to develop an ulcer, however, and certainly an ulcer, if present, could produce the kind of pain you're talking about.I would start by taking ranitidine 150 mg twice a day while awaiting an appointment at your doctor for further evaluation. Reflux: The burning in the chest is probably due to acid reflux, and this can be a result of H. pylori infection. You need to be seen and tested for this organism and treated if indicated. See a GI doctor. Best wishes and hope this clears up soon.

completed h.pylori treatment. but now, i am having excessive gas, getting chest pressure/pain. my gi said its cause of overeating.but i dont. any ideas
