Not usually: There are many reasons for inguinal node enlargement and cervical cancer is low on this list. If you are healthy otherwise. give it a couple more weeks to see how they progress.  If you have lower abdominal or genital problems, you will need to see your doctor.

Maybe not: A necrotic lymph node can be a product of a nearby infection. However, a thorough pathology exam should be done of the node(s) to be certain  there are no cancer cell present.

1. tenderness in my right groin, lymph node is slightly inflamed 
2. tenderness extends into the inside of my right tight, is sore and warm to the touch ?

Doctor can evaluate: Groin lumps (either male or female) can be caused by infected lymph nodes, enlarged non-infected lymph nodes, skin cysts, abscesses in the skin, etc... A bigger lump might even be a hernia. One's primary care doctor can evaluate to see what it might be, and offer advice on treatment or testing.

Pretty low, but: it depends on size, consistency, lab results, age, and other factors.  Overall, the vast majority of lymph node biopsies are benign.

ive have a single inguinal lymph node swollen for about 6 months. it will go down for a few days, but not completely small, then larger. never larger that 1cm. no symptoms. i have gad so this isn't sitting well with me?

: Palpable lymph nodes are not of significant concern unless their size is  more than 1CM and there is continued enlargement in the size without  having a decrement in size. So you do not have to check your groin node more than once a month and ignore it unless there is increase in size to more than 1CM.

what are typical colon cancer symptoms that most patients have? do all cancer patients have swollen, painful lymph nodes?

The common symptoms related with colon cancer are changed habit of BM without traceable foods indigestion, bloody in or on stool, but most patients would not have any symptoms at all in its early stage. Besides, it related LN enlargement presents in mesentery, not outside. More? Ask doctors timely.

Thyroid : Thyroid cancer can cause hoarseness, but usually you would notice a lump on your thyroid gland by the time you got hoarseness. You definitely need to have your doctor evaluate you, because swollen lymph nodes that don't go away could indicate several serious conditions and thyroid cancer is just one of them. Hoarseness for no obvious reason also needs to be evaluated. You should see an ear nose and throat doctor.

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.

Have it looked at...: Details are needed in your case in order to determine why this is happening- was it tender? Matted? Had. Associated symptoms? It's more appropriate if this is done in person with your primary care doctor.

Small likely benign: The 0.9 cm lymph node that you feel along with a pathology of dermatopathic lymphadenopathy in combination suggest a benign process, most likely a response to a local irritation or infection in the groin or limb areas.
