Hello. : Hello.  One of the problems with not eating is that your metabolic rate will drop. Your body will go into a protective starvation mode. It will use less calories to get more done. Thus, your appetite will drop off because you don't need as many calories to get the job done. It becomes a vicious cycle. At this point, you likely have a low metabolic rate. Strongly recommend that even if you aren't hungry that you force yourself to eat. You might consider eating 6 small meals per day. You will need to this for a while (ensuring that your calories are increased) before your metabolic rate picks back up. You will need to eat to live rather than eating because of hunger. Take care.

Which type?yes,but..: There is not just one "brown rice diet." I do not advise a diet of only brown rice and water. This will result in toxins coming out of your fat and brown rice does not give enough nutritional support to help our body to process these toxins.A brown rice diet with additional organic fruits & vegetables is much healthier, but I do not advise it primarily for weight loss- please see comment for more:.

Varying opinions: Having gluten or gluten-free products to help with autoimmune diseases is a hot topic and there are a lot of varying opinions.  Sometimes, it is a trial and error on what is tolerated or not.  Consult with your Dr. or a nutritionist.

although have a high fibre diet with rice ,still get constipation which lasts for 5-7 days at a time regularly although i do admit eat chicken and pork twice a day .senokot works next day but don't want to keep taking it as want natural,ideas please?

Constipation.: I would start by changing the type of fiber that you are getting in your diet. Rice in general is not usually a high-fiber food. Better would be some type of cereal grain. There are many different high-fiber cereals available. You could even consider adding psyllium fiber to your diet as a supplement. Drink plenty of liquid. If this does not help, see your doctor. See below: Weight loss, low iron levels, poor diet and stress, along with thyroid and hormonal imbalances, can all cause hair to fall out or thin dramatically. If your mother had similar problem when young the loss may be genetic. Your diet seems limited. Have your iron levels checked.

Brown rice: Brown rice has more fiber and vitamins.  It also takes longer to cook.  There are legions of people who will swear by it, and even more legions who eat white rice without thinking twice, every day.

It probably is a little better, but you may eat white rice without damage to your children.

Some children have a strong preference.  Don't fight this battle.
