MRI brain: The thinning myelin and white spots are often described in the usual aging of the brain.  Multiple sclerosis (MS) plaques are commonly found along the corpus callosum, periventricular white matter, cerebellum, brain stem, and spinal cord. A lumbar puncture with analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid will make the diagnosis of MS. See a neurologist to discuss the MRI findings in the brain.

MRI doesn't explain: "No mass, no lesion detected" in a Radiology report usually means a normal brain MRI scan. I assume that the scan was ordered for a reason (i.e., symptoms). There are many symptoms (I would say MOST symptoms) that prompt an MRI scan &amp; cannot be explained by it. Brain size : The human brain reaches its maximum size around age 20-22, then it slowly shrinks over time.  By age 75, it may decrease in volume or mass about 30%.  This is a natural phenomenon.  It is not clear what the biological purpose of this is.

The mass of the brain also decreases after injuries, such as traumatic injury, stroke, MS, or illnesses, such as certain infections, brain tumors, or dementia.

Pneumonia: Is shown on a chest x-ray as an area of "whiteness" in an area that would otherwise show normal "black" lung aeration. It could appear gray as well (just another appearance on the spectrum of black to white). There are a number of pathologies that may replace the normal "black" appearance of aerated lung (including lung cancer, volume loss,  and bleeding in the lung from trauma).

These fibers also have a sheath covering them called "myelin" which is also part of white matter.  If white matter is damaged in some way -- by stroke, inflammation, or disease like ms -- it shows up on MRI scans.  Gray matter can be damaged also.

Not enough info: Not sure what you mean by "white and grey brain matter disorder".  Grey matter is basically where brain cell bodies (neurons) are, and white matter is mainly the cables (axons) connecting neurons.  Sounds like you had an MRI and need to talk with your doctor about what it shows - "white and grey brain matter disorder" is too vague and doesn't tell me anything useful.

Blurring: Bluring relates to the brain image on cat scan or mri.  It is usually caused by edema (swelling) or damage, causing an accumulation of fluid in the area, so the the gray matter, where nerve cell bodies are located.  The white matter contains the nerve fibers that travel throughout the brain.
