Probably E Coli: There are many dozens of bacteria that can be lactose fermenting gram negative bacilli. This is just a classification scheme based on gram positive or negative; rod (bacillus) or cocci (ball); and what they grow on in a laboratory evaluation. Examples include e. Coli, klebsiella, enterobacter, citrobacter.

Gram stain:  This tells you that one type of bacteria did not pick up gram stain and another one did. Gram stains are used to help determine what type of bacteria are causing an infection.

: No.  Mycoplasmas lack cell wall and are not stained by gram stain.  Nitrites produced by the reduction of dietary nitrates by urinary gram-negative bacteria, especially E. coli, Klebsiella, and Proteus.

a friend of mine has urine test & resulted rare gram positive cocci & gram negative bacilli-what does this mean? she has very high fever as well.

Fever: OK...this is likely contamination of the urine source.  In most infections there will be the predominance of one bacterial species causing the issue...and there will be many per high powered field.  In her case, there are 2 types and only rare (per high powered field) and you didn't mention any white blood cells either.  This doesn't look like much to my eyes.

my urine test came back with gram negative bacilli greater than 100,000? is it good im being treated for uti? does stool cause this bacteria or is that mainly e coli? thank you. im on cefdinir for 5 days?

: A urine test showing the presence of bacteria is the very definition of a UTI (urinary tract infection), so yes, it is good that you are being treated with Cefdinir.  The most common gram-negative bacteria in UTIs is E. Coli, but other stool bacteria can cause them as well.

GNB: A urine microscopy showing GNB may not be infection and can be a contaminant. Suggest a clean catch urine be done and a urine culture of needed but done right. Sounds like you have no symptoms and this may not be an issue.

Hard to say: In the absence of a history &amp; exam or explanation of how the specimens were collected, it is hard to be specific. A female squat pee common to some clinics can have such findings be normal. A clean catch would suggest a urinary tract infection. Neither result says anything about STI's. I would ask the doc who authorized the test.

Local yeast infection: some time local yeast infection may cause anal and/or vaginal itching. Monistate local cream  application may help. 
If there is high leukocyte count in urine, she needs a urine culture to make sure there is no urinary tract infection (UTI)

have slight itch feel after peeing in urethra and a clearish fluid in urethra it doesn't leak but can be seen urine tests negative but was given doxycycline 100mg for 14 day and now a 250mg zpack and said maybe mycoplasma genitalium is1.25 gram enuf?

: By UPTODATE:  If azithromycin is given for directed therapy of M. genitalium, we suggest a dose of 1 g once on day 1 followed by 500 mg once daily on days 2 through 4 (for a total 2.5 g dose).
