Ear thermometer: An ear thermometer is rapid and accurate, except that it is harder to use in young babies. In the U.S., doctors use fahrenheit, so if mentioning a temperature in a healthtap question, please do so in fahrenheit degrees.

i have a baby thermometer and it changed itself somehow to celsius. instead of trying to change it i need to know what's a good celsius reading?

37: 37 degrees celsius is the the same as 98.6 fahrenheit.  38 and above is considered a fever.

we don't have a thermometer, & my mom feels hot when i touch her. she says she doesn't feel good, so shes laying down. how can i take care of her?

Possible fever: Without more information will provide some basics. Insure that she hydrates well- especially with water. For a temp &gt; 104, she should be medically evaluated. Difficulty breathing, chest pain or severe abdominal pain would warrant immediate eval. Allow her to rest.  NSAID's or acetaminophen can be considered to increase comfort.

one of the churches i go to started to take people's temperatures when they come in cause of covid, isnt using the same thermometer on each person a good way to spread germs if they did have covid, makes me wonder if i should stop going there?

Change thermometer: Typically in these situations it is recommended to use an infrared thermometer that does not require to be touched and is easy to clean in between people. Oral or touch thermometers should be avoided unless they are sanitizing in between people and using new covers for each person. This can be cumbersome for large number of people. You should suggest infra red thermometers to them.

: In some yes. Would likely depend on room temperature. Good science project. Temperature of skin depends on blood flow. Cold makes vessels constrict.

is my relion digital thermometer accurate ? battery not low or anything i had kind of body ache on 22nd of match but went away had some 2 days but take temp with relion 10 times a day she no fever am i good ?

Maybe: You can have many minor viral illnesses that never trigger fever. Digital thermometers with fresh batteries are usually accurate, but calibration can also be off. Using an old fashion glass thermometer at the same time can sometimes be used as validation.

used a good amount of petroleum jelly with thermometer in bum for attempt to relieve child constipation. it worked a tiny bit but shes still backed upcan i use glycerine suppository if some jelly is still up there? is there a possibly interaction?
