Clear liquids: This depends in part on what is the cause of the upset stomach.  Breads tend to be a little harsh and may increase acidity.  You will be safer with clear liquids, juices, jello, ginger ale and some find relief with pudding and ice cream.  Most stomach upsets are short term but if you have a consistent problem you should see your GI doctor.

Upset stomach: You may have caused yourself some alcoholic gastritis from your drinking.  Keep your food very simple -- like broth and crackers or rice, even.  Baked potato. Applesauce & bananas are easily digested and add pectin for bowel function.  If you can find it, papaya for the enzymes.  Herbal teas, like peppermint, chamomile, and ginger, may help soothe your stomach.  Rehydrate with lots of water.

i've noticed every time i eat oatmeal for breakfast, i feel bloated/gassy afterward all day or for a good part of the day and sometimes even have an upset stomach. other high-fiber foods don't have that effect. could that indicate an allergy to oats?

Digestion/Gluten:  
Gluten insensitivity  can cause these symptoms. If it's only oats, just avoid them. If it is a problem with other cereals (wheat, rye, barley ) you should follow up with a gastroenterologist.

Old fashion Rx: A few decades ago we routinely advised patients to sip a little flat cola over ice chips to settle a stomach. Now they have an otc product "emetrol" that is based on the same idea. It works for some. The idea is to take small volumes frequently until the stomach stops the spasms.

Yes: Jalapeño have a tendency to cause acid reflux in the stomach. This is usually common but if it becomes a problem you may want to stop consuming those and consult your physician. Some people tend to produce more acid than others.

Possibly gallbladder: You state that you have problems especially when eating fatty foods.  That suggests digestive problems with fried foods as well.  The gall bladder stores bile which is used to help break down and digest fats in your food.  If you have gall stones, a malfunctioning gall bladder, or inflamed gall bladder, these can cause your symptoms.  There are other causes for your symptoms, so see your doctor.

Abd pain : In order to properly answer your question, see a doctor in person. Right lower abdominal pain can be several things. Liver disease, colon disease, kidney pain, pneumonia, gall bladder dysfunction. In the setting of artery occlusion, it raises many more questions for a new clot. One can't just say avoid fatty food to prevent inflaming gall bladder disease because that presumes the diagnosis.

Try OTC Ranitadine: It's simply zantac (ranitidine).  If this doesn't help, go see your doc.  You may need prilosec.  You also may need a workup and a GI referral.
