Tests aren't perfect: Every test has a false negative rate.  Its possible that the test didn't pick it up.  Its best to assume he has it too.  You need to make sure he is treated completely before you have intercourse again or he may give it back to you.  Best wishes!

Common symptoms: Yellow discharge that may have a bad smell.  Pelvic pain, sometimes when walking.  Pain during intercourse.  Sometimes pain with urination.  If you think you have it, please see a doctor right away for antibiotics since it can progress to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and can cause infertility and chronic pain.

Symptoms may include yellow or white vaginal/penile discharge, burning with urination, pelvic pain, bleeding between periods, testicular pain. Gonorrhea can spread to the joints causing joint pain as well. Untreated infections can cause serious complications. Get tested.

No: Infections caused by the gram-negative diplococcus, neisseria gonorrheae, are usually treated with a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, such as ceftriaxone. Because chlamydia may coinfect, a second antibiotic may be added, such as Azithromycin or doxycycline. Reliance on natural remedies and failure to treat with antibiotics may result in ascending infection of other organs or bacteremia.

Not recommended: Single dose treatment with cefixime (400 mg) was long recommended for gonorrhea, but in recent years some cases have developed resistance to it. Usually it would work, but it's not reliable. Ceftriaxone 250 mg (by injection) is now best, always followed by either azithromycin or doxycycline. If you were treated with cefixime, get tested to make sure you were cured.
