Not really for bone: Glucosamine is a component of joint cartilage and some studies have shown natural anti-inflammatory effects and lessened joint pains due to this and other supplements. Stress injuries to the bone and decreased bone density have more to do with bone mineralization (calcium and phosphate) and wouldn't be affected directly by glucosamine.

Probably not: The theoretical mechanism by which nutritional supplements work is that they contain some of the same substances seen in healthy cartilage; and that by eating them this will somehow restore your cartilage.  If you truly have"bone on bone" severity arthritis, it is unlikely that anything you eat will change this.  If you take them and it makes you feel better, however, that is certainly ok.

Questionable: I realize that a common joint formula is chondroitin and glucosamine sulfate.  Tmj/tmd is often a combination of joint, muscle and the teeth not functioning correctly.  Supplements may help, but i would not rely upon them for a lot of relief.
