i was trying to moisturize my scalp with giovanni leave in conditioner and 24hrs later my scalp is even more dry and very sore.  how to fix this?

Sore scalp: Would wash out the conditioner. Take benedryl 12.5 ( childrens q 12 hours see if helps  and may try pure coconut or olive oil ( not the hair product verison but the cooking verison that is pure ) oil on hair  for 10 minutes and wash out  f/u w/doc urgent care  today to tcheck for blisters. peeling  in scalp

Actinic: If your actinic keratosis has returned, you should discuss this with your dermatologist-- some of the lesions may now be cancerous and should be checked before another round of medication.

i have applied carac cream to my face for 1 week now.  my rx says 2-6 weeks.  when should i stop applying it?  my face is blotchy and irritated.

Common : It sound like you are being treated for precancerous facial lesions (actinic keratosis or solar keratosis) which if left untreated can progress to squamous cell carcinoma. There are a variety of treatments for this, and you've been prescribed one of them. Usually the topical treatment lasts for 6 weeks (your Doctor will tell you how long). The involved areas of your face will get noticeably red.

Same: Both are commercial or trade names for the medication Fluorouracil it is also called adrucil, (fluorouracil) fluorplex.  All are the same fomulation.

Fluorouracil: This is worth doing if you have quite a few skin changes due to the sun - actinic keratoses, hyperpigmentations etc. It is not an easy treatment  and can cause some discomfort and temp cosmetic changes. The ultimate result however, is nice and the skin will be rid of any of above changes and is usually quite smooth! Do not do if you have any social events or work presentations etc upcoming!
