BREAST FEEDING: Ginger root is not a problem with breast feeding. Instead of chewing, crush the root and boil it like tea. It is nutritional.

Ginger: An adult can chew 1/4th ounce of raw ginger to decrease nausea but should not exceed 4 grams per day. Ginger can cause mouth irritation &amp; heartburn – so encourage ginger tea instead.  Place thin slivers of fresh organic ginger in tea pot with boiling water – steep for 5 minutes &amp; then slowly sip. Ginger can interfere with use of blood thinners.  REF:

Probably: Nothing in pregnancy or life or 100% safe for everyone. Having said that ginger has been used extensively especially in Asia without any known adverse effects on the fetus for centuries. As for Titanium oxide, it is mostly not absorbed so it should not affect your fetus.  If there is any other active ingredients in the Sea Band gum, you will have to list them in order to get any answer.

In Chinese medicine: Ginger is a warming herb.  Thus, for folks who are always cold it can be helpful.  It is also used for digestive disorders.  Ginger, in western terms, is a powerful antioxident.  Peace and good health.  Ginger tea is a good way to take in ginger.

Root/herb: Ginger is a root/herb...It is used in cooking and baking...It has also been shown to calm upset tummies and seasickness...Beware, however when used in large amounts over long periods of time, it can be deleterious to certain organs...Better to check with your doc or a dietician before using it therapeutically..Pretty safe when used for cooking and baking, however..

Side effects are not: Common w ginger. However doses &gt; 10, 000 mg (fresh) or &gt; 4, 000 mg (powdered) aren't recommended long-term.  Allergic reactions are rare but can include swelling of mouth, tongue, face, throat;rash, itching, hives, difficulty breathing ; chest tightness. It may cause heartburn, bloating, gas, belching, diarrhea ; bad taste. It may effect blood clotting -so consult dr about use w anti-inflammatory &gt;.
