Have MD examine: You need to have a OB MD examine the incision and abdomen. The most common issue is the development of adhesions which can cause pain on movement and throbbing.

Difficult: Vitamin c and glycolic acid preparations may work to fade stretch marks.  Exercise can reduce the skin sagging but it takes commitment.  Pilates is an excellent way to melt away fat.  Seeing a dermatologist for non-surgical  treatment has benefits.

Accepted Answer

Diet, exercise, time: C-sections do not "cause" belly fat.  Excess food intake, certainly normal while pregnant, causes belly fat. Truly count calories, everything you put in your mouth, and cut that back to healthy normal amounts. Some advocate cutting out white bread and limiting carbs, and remember that alcohol has calories. Healthy amounts of exercise. You cannot otherwise  target belly fat (without surgery).

4 weeks: Most recommendations are to allow 4 (sometimes 6) weeks before resuming strenuous activity such as abdominal exercises.

had a c-section a week ago & if don't pump every 3 hours my boobs get extremely painful & hard. is pumping the only way to prevent/stop this? i don't nurse because he wouldnt latch on. nurse said they were full

Breast engorgement.: Pumping helps. After pumping, use cold compresses and wear tight sports bras to keep them from getting engorged again. Hopefully, this will result in having to pump less often.

I : I think that you can accomplish this with a good diet - eating less.  Breastfeeding as long as you can.  Getting on a exercise program with a good trainer, and getting proper sleep will work best.  Of course getting your schedule in order, so that you have some time available to do these things is paramount.  Mothers have a stressful, chaotic, sleep deprived existence.  It will take lots of work, planning and courage to get control of this.  You can do it.  Best wishes.
