i take crestor (rosuvastatin) 10mg ... i get cramps in feet during the night... what can i do to alleviate this cramping?

Couple of thoughts: 1) did it just start when you started crestor (rosuvastatin)? 2) does it stop within a week of stopping crestor (rosuvastatin)? 3) how long have you had this - is it consistent with restless leg syndrome? 4) does it get better with plantar/calf stretching (put the ball of your foot on the edge of a step and let your heel drop off, hold for 30 sec). All of the above can help your doc pinpoint the issue. Can't say yet though.

It could be muscle : Or ligament strain, electrolyte imbalance, poor arch/ flat foot etc. See your dr or a podiatrist for worsening of symptoms.

i have been diagnosed with perpheral polyneuropathy, as well as over active thyroid, with positive for lupus.i seem to get cramps in my feet, ect.painful?

Confusing: Not sure of your question.  From your description, your peripheral neuropathy is likely the culprit for your pain and cramps in your feet, and i cannot exclude superimposed tarsal tunnel syndrome.  However, nerve pathology is likely the cause of your symptoms.  Other than baclofen, you are not taking the usual nerve pain suppressant meds, and I am unclear re the cause of your nerve problem.

hello doctor, i have been back on my chronic meds eltroxin for 3 months now but are still getting cramps in my feet and my heart seems to skip a beat from time to time. is this related to the eltroxin (my dose was doubled for past 2 months)?

Eltroxin: It is possibly  related . Would check your TSH/T4 and free T4 level . parathyroid hormone level and also check  calcium, potassium and magnesium level  as abnormal levels could cause cramps as well.  F/U with MD

i get cramps in my legs feet and hands   i have had a blood test and not low on potassium and thytroid fine   just a little low on calcium  what coul.

Low : Low potassium or low calcium can sometimes cause symptoms like this. Your dr should have addressed this when he reported your labs.  Cramps in legs & feet may be due to blood flow.  You could try a banana and a good multivitamin every day.  Best to talk with your dr who knows you and your results.

It is possible: Low potasium can cause cramps in foot but there are other things that can cause it like a neuroma. Have it looked at.

Potassium depletion: Use of diuretics can potentially deplete potassium from the body.  See your doctor to have your potassium level checked, and to have this addressed.  They can also look to other causes of foot cramps.

This might depend on: What position you are engaging in as you may be stretching the foot for longer periods of time....however, without getting into that I would try taking a magnesium supplement like magox 400mg before bedtime every night. And see if that solves your problem.....

Could be many things: Could be many things: 
Maybe your shoes are too tight, maybe you have arch issues and you need an orthotic insole for your footwear, maybe you’re dehydrated and your potassium or calcium are too low.

Plantar fasciitis: Plantar fasciitis, or an arch ligament strain is a very common reason for discomfort in the bottom of the feet.

Other causes of heel pain can be tarsal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, a stress fracture, referred nerve pain among others.  Talk to a podiatrist to help sort this out.
