Options: Dysmenorrhea Tx:  NSAID’s, SSRI’s, hormone meds, OTC meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise &amp; acupuncture are excellent for dysmenorrhea. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol &amp; salt. Get GYN eval to R/O underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or Black Cohosh with dr ok. Sipping Chamomile can dissipate pain.

Work on it daily: Pain management can be useful if it helps you to move normally while you heal.  If you smoke, you must stop.  What ever type of activity/lifestyle produces the damage to your back must be modified.  Physical therapy for a core strengthening, yoga type stretching home exercise program that incorporates proper breathing and body awareness is the pathway that I have seen the most success.  Patience!

i have sciatic nerve irritation, my discs seem fine as my x-ray and mri are clear, my emg did however display irritation. i have been on lyrica and doing stretches daily for 9 weeks. how do i get rid of the pain ?

Neuritis: the usual treatment is antiinflammator mediciation, sometimes steroids and physical hterapy. Unfortunately, no guartanty of cure.

See doctor: All of these are different problems with different treatments.  In some cases they can be linked together.  I would recommend seeing your md to help localize the source of your pain and to discuss treatment options.  Treatment options for the above may include medication, injections, and physical therapy.

A gap in the wall of: your abdomen where the femoral artery and vein emerge and then enter the leg that is enlarging is a femoral hernia.  They are not common but can cause the symptoms you describe.  Low back pain can be muscular, spine or hip related or do to pelvic organ problems.  A femoral hernia usually has a tender spot in the front of the hip... especially when coughing or bearing down. Sorry I can't help more.
