: You could try compression stocking to keep the blood from pooling in the varicose veins. Depending on the size of the veins, a doctor also inject the veins to make them scar up.

Need more info: It could be that the blood underneath the skin has tattooed the skin or some other esoteric reason. Consult with a dermatologist.

Skin discoloration: Go to a cosmetic plastic surgeon or dermatologist.  He/She will be able to help you with your concerns. You may not have a bruise which usually resolves in 2-3 weeks but a capillary malformation near the surface of the skin which they can help you with.

Time: Hematomas can be quite painful. They are nothing more than a collection of blood. I recommend you get a neoprene compressive sleeve to wear.  Initially, ice may relieve symptoms.  After a few days, you might consider applying some warm heat intermittently.  This can sometimes help the body break down and reabsorb the hematoma.
