pain on the right side of my chest, shoulder and back. is this gerds? pain worse in shoulder when laying down. came on quickly an hour or so ago

i have been taking 20th omeprazole 2 a day for 6 months. recently it stopped working. bad gerd pain. could i be to alkaline now?

GERD not controlled.: No, the problem is not that your stomach is too alkaline, but that you still have acid reflux which is not well controlled, now that you're not taking omeprazole any longer. At this point your best bet is to continue antireflux measures and to see a gastroenterologist, since your symptoms seem to be persistent. You may need tests and/or medication longterm. Good luck.

Yes : Hence the name heartburn.  Other things can do this too.  An upper endoscopy or other imaging studies would be helpful to verify gerd.

Frontal Plane QRS Axis: +90 o to -30 o (in the adult) 
Have a stress EKG on a treadmill.

i have gerd. pain medicines sometimes make my symptoms worse. today i took two vicodin and 1 tab q, 6 hours apart. i've been having some on and off left side chest pressure/stabbing under my breast. could it be heart attack or gerd?

Call MD: Stabbing chest pain should always be evaluated and not assumed to be not cardiac until that source is ruled out. Call your doctor or go to the er.

can gerd cause pain in upper left back?

Maybe.: Pain anywhere in the abdomen, can cause referred pain to the back and shoulders even!  If the pain occurs only with movement, it is more likely to be due to sprain or strain of muscles or ligaments.  Any pain, if it lasts longer than a few days or is severe, needs to be checked out.

past 3 mornings i've been having gerd gastritis pain and burping for a few hours after i wake up. seems ok at night. what cause pain in mornings?

It's not unusual: ... To have GERD symptoms in the mornings, considering that a lot of people's reflux  is worse when they are lying flat in bed. If you have heartburn upon awakening, I would try antacid such as Tums (calcium carbonate). If you find that you need this more than 2 to 3 days a week, you might want to see your doctor for a trial of a medication. In the meantime, avoid any things that brings on your symptoms. Good luck.

Doubtful but : possible; however I would suggest a full and comprehensive cardiology exam.

Yes: Yes it could.  So could ulcer pain, pain in your colon, liver problems and other issues.  In addition, right sided pneumonias or even chest injury/strain can cause it.  So, there are many things that can cause pain to the right of midline, even without a gall bladder!

Yes: Reflux disease involves many symptoms. These include the effect of movement of gastric acid/contents anywhere between the entrance to the stomach back up into the nasal cavity. This may trigger pain in those sites.
