Diet and fluids: I rarely prescribe meds for ibs. In my experience teaching people to eat and drink properly resolves most if not all symptoms when the patient is compliant and follows through. Hi fiber, 80-100 ounces non caffeine, non alcoholic beverages each day, regular meal times, excercise. Consistency is the key to being symptom free.

Exercise can help: Exercise has been shown to have a profound effect on mood and on motivation. Joining a gym is an excellent first step as long as you actually go to the gym. Although exercise will help with weight loss, by itself it is not adequate so you need to pay attention to your calories and the types of food you eat. Sometimes: Sometimes it can be very easy to put ourselves in a rut.. A pill is not the answer in those situations and we have to push ourselves mentally to get up and get going.  Often once we are up and going. We start to feel better. If you continue to find yourself in a "rut" on a regular basis, you may want to see a professional. There could be an underlying depression.

Maybe: Diuretics can cause cramps but your's is a very mild one. I presume it's hot in s. Africa this time of year - are you dehydrated? Do you need the diuretic during your summer? If it's for bp, perhaps a different medicine could be used. Tonic water and muscle stretching exercises can help cramps in general.

i have many hypothyroidism symptoms & recently had some blood work done that revealed that i tested negative for it. i'm not rut what else it could be?

Hypothyroid: Symptoms such as dry skin tiredness hair loss and weight gain very common in patients however these donot make DX but suggest it but DX established by blood work very rare cases maybe missed if pituitary in origin and only tested by tsh.
