Few possibilities: Redness or erythema of the lining of the stomach and/or duodenum suggest a few possibilities:  infection with h. Pylori bacteria, drug toxicity, bile reflux.  Biopsies usually help clarify the cause. Good luck!

Calculate: Look up what your ideal body weight is. Subtract your ideal body weight from your original weight. That number is the denominator representing your total excess weight. The numerator is the amount of weight you have actually lost. So if your excess weight was 50 lbs and you have lost 20 lbs, you have lost 20/50=40% of excess body weight.

since my roux en y gastric bypass4 years ago, i have not vomitted once! why is this? i have felt the need a few times but my body rejects vomitting!

Small Stomach: The roux en y leaves a very small (usually about 2 tablespoons) for your stomach.  That isn't very much for it to hold so even if you do vomit, it would be a small quanitity. Feeling the need can come from overeating or eating the wrong things for you.  Talk to the nutritionist or your bariatic specialist. They generally have profesional support for long-term post-op patients from by-pass surgery.

They have: Nothing to do with one another.  If you think you have  an erythema in the stomach try an OTC product( probably double strength to start ) like Prevacid or Nexium (esomeprazole) or Prilosec .   If it gets better then you have your answer. If not see a gastroenterologist

i had egd shows localized nodular mucosa duodenal bulb and hyperemic gastric body.i also have an adrenal tumor on right side. is this cancer?

EDG findings: Adrenal tumors are often benign, ct/ultrasound is often beneficial in the determination.

Your egd findings suggest gastritis (erythema) , and nodular duodenitis.  Both are usually benign in your age group.  Occasionally a biopsy of these areas may warrant repeat endoscopic evaluation in the future if the pathology suggests tissue changes that could be premalignant.

my gastrologist ordered me a gastric emptying test. i'm worried about possible side effects because my body is sensitive to many medications etc. the radiology center tells me it is a safe test with no side effects. is that accurate information?

: All radiation Has some risk. But small. Discuss with Dr who knows you.
