why might my 4 year old have a blue ish tongue? occasional awake sneezing [1 2x/day], increased snoring overnite [no t&a], no pauses/gasping noted.

Likely Normal: The tongue surface becomes gray before the older skin cells shed.Food & meds can stain the tongue.Examining the inside of the eyelid is a better reflection of blood oxygen if that is ? & pink means the brain is getting good o2. T&a and other lymph glands in the head/neck grow faster than the kid 0-8yr then stabalize. Snoring is a common transition stage that subsides by the teens in most.

my rhr is 47-51 and im not an active person. while awake sometimes it falls to 42. i dont feel lightheaded but i occasionally have palpitations and have a sinking sensation in my chest. activity causes a spike to 120+. do i have bradycardia?

Accepted Answer

: Bradycardia is defined as heart rate is less than 60 bpm. Heart rate goes up with activity so your heart seems acting normal. However, based on the the presence of bradycardia and your symptoms, it is prudent to have a baseline 12 lead EKG done. Good luck.

can you still have sleep apnea if you don't awake during your sleep gasping for air or choking? i have fatigue brain fog and occasional snoring.

Yes: If you wake up feeling tired, are tired during the day, fall asleep watching tv or movies, feel like you want to nap then you may have a sleep disturbance such as sleep apnea. A consultation with a sleep disorders specialist is indicated. Most ENT doctors are well trained in apnea and can evaluate your airway as well.

Examination needed: Jittery or shaky movements in a new baby may or may not be normal, but it is hard to tell without examining the baby and seeing the movements. The best way to do this is to make videos of the baby&#x27;s movements and show the pediatrician, who can take into consideration the progress in all the areas of baby development, and decide whether the baby&#x27;s movements are normal or not. Examination is needed.

Not rare enough: In my practice there has been a great deal of overlap between eating disorders and cutting. Especially among young women who felt pressure to be  perfect and who were very frustrated by anger that they couldn't express. Anyway - the frequency is not important. Getting help is! And, you can. Psychotherapy works (if you want it to.) The EDs can do serious bodily damage, so it is important. Best 2U!

Possibly: It could be.  See a dentist to determine the cause of your toothaches.  Even if you don't have any pain or discomfort, make sure that you brush and floss regularly and see a dentist every six months for a checkup and cleaning.

Bowel bacteria: You have lots of bacteria in your bowel that create gas while they're doing their marvelous work in your body -- including making vitamins, etc.  If you eat something that upsets their balance, you may have more gas.  Also eating beans, alcohol sugars, etc.  You can take probiotics and/or digestive enzymes and see if it helps.

Nerve: Sounds like the nerve in this area is under pressure, possibly from shoe. A subtle injury may have occurred, is there any back conditions. Sometimes this can cause a numbness feeling in toe. See a podiatrist.
