: The best treatment is to treat what is causing the problem.  Keep a gas diary. Your body is talking to you. Listen to it and take good notes then share with a local Dr. as causes may  be remarkably different in India than in US.

Not sure: The symptoms you provide are not usually associated with a bladder infection or uti.  Also, most utis, even if not treated, will resolve eventually.  Sounds like you need to be evaluated.

Many causes: There are too many causes to go into with little information. It could be a 'spastic colon' known as irritable bowel syndrome. I would suggest you contact your doctor for further advise.

for the last three nights i've been waking up between 4 and 5 am with severe cramps in my lower abdomen/intestinal area. i have some gas but passing it does not relieve the pain, nor does having a bowel movement. otc meds no help.

Nocturnal cramps: Irritable bowel syndrome usually doesn't awaken one. I'm concerned about mechanical problems like hernia, adhesions if you've had previous abdominal surgery, partial interssusception,or vovulus if the cramps are very severe and recur. I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist o abdominal surgeon.

Here's some ideas...: Feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks).  Sometimes its more complicated--a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, and pelvic pathology outside the gut.

Intestinal gas??: Have you altered your diet at all in the past several days? There are several foods known to be assoc with a lot of gas production - Boston baked beans, cabbage. If that is the case modify your diet. Activated charcoal pill will adsorb lots of gas and turn stool black. If doesn't help see your doc.
