breaking in rigid gas permeable contacts?  how many hours a day?

Incremental.: Varied answers from various eye care specialists. Generally I have a new rigid gas permeable (rgp) contact lens wearer, who is just commencing their use, to wear it for 4 hours the first day and then go up by one hour daily from that point on to a maximum of 12 hours. You want to avoid contact lens overwear syndrome where the eyes feel so comfortable with the rgps on that you do not break them in.

Acute abdominal pain: You should go to ER . Appendicitis pain usually starts around the navel then move to the right lower quadrant of the abdomen.

hello, i noticed the knob on my stove was slightly rotated. im not sure how long it was like this, at most it was 24 hours. i dont know if any gas came out though. should i be concerned?

: If your question relates to ill effect of natural gas on human body, usually it is fire hazard. If it is not in closed area then the dilution will be there. By now stove must be turned off . If you do not have symptoms at this time it is unlikely that you will get any symptoms from this gas leak if any. Definitely be more attentive in future. Hope it helps.

What was burned?: Air out the house and if the smell bothers you leave for a while.If nothing toxic was burned you should be ok.

Gas after eating: If you get gas after eating, this is a sign that your body is having difficulty digesting what you are eating.  The usual culprits are lactose, gluten found in wheat containing foods, or greasy foods.  I would try eliminating one food at a time, and finding out what causes the most gas. Start by eliminating milk products, as well as taking lactase enzyme and see if this works.  Talk to your doctor

: I assume you didn't breathe in enough fumes to cause lung symptoms and you have ventilated the room for those hours. If so you should be able to go back in your toilet hours later. If you still have concerns, get more information &amp; instructions from your local health department.

See Dentist: I suspect candidiasis infection (thrush) though without seeing it it is hard to tell. You need to have it looked at. Also, i don't know if you smoke - that can cause discoloration & diet can affect the odors as can improper hygiene. Your dentist can evaluate & prescribe appropriate treatment.

Gassy Baby: 28 yo lady with 3 month old infant feeding well but with a lot of gas. Studies show that when your baby is gassy, she may be intolerant to something in the formula or in the diet of the breastfeeding mother. Does your baby get good sleep? If your baby is fussy, inconsolable, or draws its knees into its chest while crying it may be a sign of pain. Please bring your baby for full exam. Good luck.

VGE: Sounds like a viral gastroenteritis.  Need to replace fluids lost in diarrhea and consider taking loperamide to control symptoms.  Seek care if unable to do this or you find blood in stool or high fever.

Maybe: Sounds pretty normal to me. If it really spooks you you need to discuss the problem with her doc. A 1 mo laying on her back uses her breathing muscle to generate pressure to poop. Many assume they are in pain as the belly gets hard &amp; they make noise, but that is normal.
