Trapezius spasm?: This sounds like your trapezius is spasming. Very common and very uncomfortable. You may need a trigger point injection or PT to help with this problem. Try ibuprofen for several days and see if it goes away first.

: The symptoms are consistent with cervical plexus compression due to a prolonged and poor neck position but cervical herniated disc can't be ruled out. Massage or apply cold or warm pack at the site of soreness, take 2 OTC ibuprofen 200 mg (motrin, advil) with foods, every 6 hrs as needed for a day or two, move your neck and arm when pain has improved. Neck-shoulder-arm syndrome is usually limited.

Probably note: This does not sound like it is coming from your heart, I would want to know if this symptoms were worse when you grow up a flight of stairs or when you are exercising

Simethicone: There is a medicine that you can buy at the pharmacy called simethicone that may help with this problem. You can also try avoiding dairy products as they cause gas in some people. Other gas producing foods are beans, broccoli and cabbage. You can try avoiding these as well.

Yes: It can cause shoulder pain if the gas is causing enough pain upward around the diaphragm. However, this should be shortlived as the gas moves through the intestines and long lasting shoulder pain will most likely not be related to gas. The pain is from viscerosomatic referred pain. If the shoulder pain and abdominal pain lasts longer than regular gas is expected, further workup would be necessary.

Walk and exercise: Stress can cause muscle to be in a state of increased tone.  By continuing to be tight the Lactic Acid builds up.  Acid sends signals of pain.  Walking and exercise will circulate blood to your muscles washing out the acid.
