i have bad lower back pain. i think its gas. how do i get rid of it ?

Depend: Lower back pain has variety of causes. Does it come and go type of pain or persistent dull aching? Does it relate to the menstrual cycle? Without specific and physical examination, it is difficult to guess what it is. If the pain comes and go, you may try high fiber diet and avoid gassy food such as lettuce, beans or dairy products. If persistent, shouild see your doctor.

Abdominal Pains: Unfortunately it can be very difficult to diagnose abdominal pains without further information. Any chance of pregnancy? Vaginal discharge/odor? Urinary/bowel changes? Fevers?

Constipation: Most likely related to constipation or inability to completely evacuate the stool. Getting cleaned out will probably cause everything to go away. If it doesnt, then see your physician.

Feeling gassy...: Feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks).  Sometimes its more complicated--a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, and pelvic pathology outside the gut.

i'm getting pelvic and lower back pain when sitting down for too long or laying down on my stomach. feels like gas pain but it's a little weird for it to be gas for almost a week right? what can it be?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You could get a "standing desk" for your work so you could stand and move about rather than sitting. Regular aerobic exercise will help too. If that does not help it would be prudent to see a doctor.

hello this morning i've woken up and then about 10 mins later when i got up i had a awful pelvis and lower back pain it was a achey pain and its happened multiple times i have bad constipation so i'm thinking could it be trapped gas?

Need examination: I don't believe that simple "trapping of gas" is the most likely cause for your symptoms though being gassy can be uncomfortable, no doubt.  I believe you should be examined &amp; a good dietary history along with bathroom habits should be obtained.  You may also benefit from a urinalysis. Fixing the constipation problem certainly could help you even if it doesn't fix the symptoms.

See below: If the constipation that you report is new, you may want to be tested for hypothyroidism.  Without any addition details about your low back pain and what has been performed so far to evaluate it, you may to discuss this with your primary.

can leg pain and lower back pain be associated with ibs.when i have gas i suffer sometimes with severe legs and back pain.is this normal? ?

Varies: Ibs  usually does not directly cause leg pain, but a percentage of patients with ibs can have an associated inflammatory arthritis which can cause back and leg pain.  Don't hesitate to be seen and evaluated.

i randomly get knee pain when lying down. my hip feels tight as if it has a pocket of gas that needs to be released. i have mild lower back pain on my right side.
the numbness and pain spreads is the worst when standing for a few minutes?

? radiculopathy: Your panoply of symptoms causes me to wonder about congenital lumbosacral stenosis, or even ankylosing spondylosis.  Since this appears complex, some blood tests and imaging studies are in order.  A neurological consult would be a good place to start.

Here are some ...: Three areas need to be checked out: musculoskeletal pain, foods indigestion with GI dysfuntion; and possible UTI / bladder dysfunction. These things could be easily sorted out with detailed Hx + proper physical exam + tests as needed. So, work with Doc closely for better quality of care and outcome.
