i had a ganglion cyst removal 8 days ago.  my surgical site looks great, but my fingers are a bit swollen, not sure if this is ok or normal. ?

Yes but.: It can, but i would have it done in a sterile setting if it were my finger under controlled setting, less infectious risk, more bleeding control and pain control.

Keep area clean&amp;dry: Call the surgeon tomorrow and ask to come in to get it rewrapped if they feel it's necessary.  They may allow you to keep it open if it's clean and not showing signs of redness or inflammation.

Very common: A ganglion on the finger is quite common. It is benign and does not require surgey. If you find it unsightly and/or if it is painful, you can have it removed under local anesthesia. The recurrence rate after excision is less than 10%.

Not a danger: The RSI may be  related to the ganglion. If your evaluation is otherwise  OK would  not be concerned.
