Maybe some symptoms: Should help with anxiety, muscles spasms, nausea, vomiting, but will not block the core symptoms.

Who knows?: By definition, "alternative" is different than modern western medicine.  Generally any drug, herb, treatment, or procedure that stands up to rigorous scientific scrutiny is included in modern medicine.  The problem is that many alternative practices, herbs etc do not stand up to scientific scrutiny and cannot be shown to work. They therefore remain "alternative".   See a real doctor.if  concerned

is it best to stagger new medications, i.e. start one a week or so before introducing another.  i have started gabapentin and have baclofen prescribed.  maybe i should wait to add baclofen until i've gotten to a full dose of gabapentin?

If possible, yes: It is helpful if your Doctor agrees-let them know and discuss with them, as if you start both meds at the same time, you may not know which one genuinely helps and or if you get an adverse reaction/side effect, you would not know which one caused it, etc.  Best wishes.

Transdermal- topical: A topical application of a medication to the skin is used solely for its local effect at the site of pain generation. While transdermal medications are also applied directly to the skin, their target site of action can be distant from the site of drug application. The site of activity of a transdermal drug is not achieved locally, but systemically. The drug is  pushed into a blood stream.

Coincidence, UTI: Baclofen, amitriptyine, &amp; Gabapentin is a great cream for chronic pain. I think you have UTI according to the symptoms you have described. See your PCP for evaluation, labs and treatment.

Small amounts : Of topical drugs can be absorbed in the systemic circulation. The larger the skin area on which they are used and the quantity applied may result in higher systemic concentration and possibly adding to systemic toxicity.

Yes: You are exposed to too many medications. Talk to your doctor and trim the list to drugs that are essential for your health or disease.
