Many Possibilities: There are many many possibilities.  Most involve peripheral nerves and not your brain so I am not thinking brain tumor.  Ultimately, you should see a Neurologist to evaluate this and find a treatment.  Good Luck!

Long list: The types of brain tumors vary by the anatomic location and cell types. The common types are meningioma, astrocytoma and other gliomas. Metastatic tumors in the brain are commoner than primary tumors. See this site for more info.

Vague question: Brain tumors are separated into neural or meningeal in general. Meningiomas have not really increased. There are many different subtypes of brain cancer--and over the past decades the ability to recognize different types has improved. So, a name given to a tumor 40 years ago, now may encompass 6-8 different tumors.

Dim vision: It MAY NOT be your brain but the eyes themselves.  Please see an eye doctor.  One POSSIBILITY is cataracts or some other eye condition.  Peace and good health.

Brain tumor: Probably the best referral for possible complications of resection of brain tumor is the top cancer treatment centers in the US such as MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. They must excellent brain surgeon to deal with these kinds of problem. Thank you and good luck.

i'm having an mra due to various symptoms. i'm curious if mra can show brain tumors, or if only mri will do that?

The MRA: will show tumors if they are VASCULAR (contain blood vessels) and is not as valuable in the detection of tumors as the MRI

One doesn't always: recognize that one is having a seizure. While most of us are familiar with (grand mal) tonic-clonic seizures/generalized shaking, temporal lobe seizures are often more sensory. Even something as simple as an altered sense of smell may be sign of a seizure. BUT, having a 3 week headache is something concerning...you need to see your Doctor for evaluation ASAP. Good wishes:)

what could cause constant parethesia in various areas for months? brain/neck mri are normal and so is blood work.. b 12 is normal!  also dizzy!

Nerve issues: These symptoms could represent peripheral nerve issues, even the small fibre variant.  Although ms is demonstrated on MRI studies, sometimes early on these may be normal and only spinal fluid studies may detect.  A number of chemical or metabolic, or even toxic causes may be responsible.  Some medicines cause paresthesias, such as topirimate.

71 yr old with lung ca that has metastasized to bone and brain. has been on various types of chemo for 2 years. life expectancy?

2-8 months: Untreated brain metastases patient's survival estimate is may be 2 months. If tumors are small and numbers less than 4 and patients' clinical condition good, attempts should be made to remove all of the metastases, followed by whole brain radiotherapy. This is the only chance of better survival. Radiotherapy is the must. Certain metastatic brain tumor may respond to systemic chemotherapy .
