my gyn told me to get lh & fsh hormone level test when should i measure it? i'm on my 6th day of period can i do it tomorrow & if not then when?

Call your GYN MD: Sometimes LH/FSH testing is done at the beginning of the cycle to test ovarian reserve, and sometimes in the middle of the cycle to see if ovulation has occurred. Call your GYN MD to find out when is the best time that THEY want you to take the test.

i am 49, have normal periods, and on 4th day of period my fsh hormone was 14 mui/ml. while my lh hormone was 16,5 mui/ml. is that perimenopause or is it possible that i have pcos? is it possible to get pcos after 40, i didn't have it before?

: Your pituitary hormonal levels are not compatible with PCOS, more like pre-menopausal status although your period is still regular. If estradiol level is low or low normal, pre-menopausal state will be confirmed.
Very soon I predict the period interval will be longer, no longer 28-30 days.

2 missed periods. had transvaginal ultrasound done it was normal but showed multiple peripheral follicles on my ovaries. blood tests for lh and fsh hormones are also normal. doctor said i dont have pcos, but what is this ?

: Actually would have to say it sounds like PCOS,  to make that diagnosis,  relative excess androgens,  irregular ovulation, and by sono criteria, a chain of pearls,  (numerous small ovarian cysts).

Medication: First, the cause of the low luteinizing hormone (lh) and follicle stimulating hormone (fsh) levels needs to be determined. Second, the answer may be different for men versus women. Sometimes lifestyle changes are enough to correct abnormal FSH and/or lh levels. There are medications, such as Clomid (clomiphene) or inject able FSH & lh that can be helpful.  See a fertility specialist and get tested, first.
