Depends: During ovulation, fsh rises with leutinizing hormone (lh). During the remainder of the menstrual cycle fsh is usually between 5-7. If the fsh level is above 15-20 not during the midcycle when ovulation occurs, and Estradiol levels are lower than they should be, there is dysfunction of the ovary which leads to menopausal symptoms.
